If you know someone who has tested positive for Human Immuno-Deficiency Virus (HIV) and you are suggesting him/her buy a health insurance plan, then you need to stop right there. The majority of the insurance companies do not offer any health insurance policies to HIV patients. Since there was no health insurance for HIV patients in India, HIV patients had no healthcare option available. However, over the years, Star Health Insurance Company came with a health insurance policy for people who tested positive for HIV but their condition has not progressed to Acquired Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). Along with Star Net Plus Plan from Star Health Insurance India, let us discuss two more plans here.
Star Health Net Plus Plan
This is one of the most sought-after health insurance policies for HIV patients. From the condition to the surgeries, you will be totally covered under this policy. The policy provides coverage for hospitalization, pre and posts hospitalization expenses, emergency ambulances, and fees for the surgeon and specialist fee. This policy has especially been customized to fulfill the needs of HIV-positive patients; therefore, there is no minimum age to buy this policy. If the policyholder is diagnosed with AIDS, he/she will get a lump sum payout under this policy.
This plan can be availed of by a person even if he/she has already tested positive for HIV. However, the person should not have reached the stage of AIDS.
Max Bupa Health Premia Individual Health Insurance Plan

This means this can even be called the perfect cover for the families.
Apart from covering accident costs, this plan also provides coverage for international medical expenses.
